Venaani and Nandi-Ndaitwah have low intellect – Namibia Progressive Party co-founder

Written by on April 19, 2024

Namibia Progressive Party co-founder Penda Negonga says he is better qualified to run for president because his opponents lack the required intellectual capacity.

Speaking to Desert Radio on Friday, Negonga said Swapo vice president Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and Popular Democratic Movement president McHenry Venaani have low intellects.

“Nandi-Ndaitwah has a small brain […] it doesn’t matter how much experience you have,” he said.

In an earlier statement, Negonga noted that Venaani is qualified to lead the country but “his IQ is no higher to defeat a liberation movement like Swapo”.

According to Negonga, the Namibia Progressive Party is not registered with the Electoral Commision of Namibia yet, despite being founded in 2018.

“We saw we were going to lose the 2019 elections, so we decided to start with our business in 2024.”

Negonga said he is confident the party will have 3 000 registered members by next month.

“We just need 500 signatures per region,” he told Desert Radio.

In his earlier statement, Negonga said if voted into power, his administration will borrow N$37 billion at once to pay off existing bad debts and fund other projects, including job creation and housing.
