The rape and murder of five-year-old Ingrid Maasdorp in Okahandja last month has sparked outrage, with a petition for justice gaining over 7,100 signatures.
Landless People’s Movement MP Utaara Mootu, who raised the issue in the National Assembly on Tuesday, is demanding answers from the Ministry of Home Affairs on the investigation and rising violence against children, calling it a systemic failure.
