Theofelus Seeks Parliament Seat Through union

Information and communication technology minister Emma Theofelus is reportedly seeking support from the National Union of Namibian Workers or NUNW to participate in Swapo’s electoral college after missing out on an earlier opportunity.
The college, scheduled for early September, will elect 96 members for the National Assembly. Theofelus confirmed her participation but did not elaborate on the union’s role.
Swapo affiliates and regions will nominate candidates for the election.
The SPYL, the elder’s council, the NUNW and the Former Plan Combatants Association will nominate six candidates each.
