Teachers’ Union slams Omusati directive on side businesses

The Teachers Union of Namibia has criticised a directive issued by Omusati Regional Education Director Paulus Kashimbi ordering teachers to stop income-generating activities unless they obtain approval. Union secretary-general Mahongora Kavihuha says employers should not control what teachers do outside their official working hours and calls for dialogue on the matter.
