Taxi association welcomes traffic fine amnesty but urges broader reforms

The Namibia Bus and Taxi Association says the Judiciary’s traffic fine amnesty is a positive step but insists it will not solve the underlying problems facing taxi drivers. The association is calling for a national dialogue to address issues such as inadequate taxi ranks, outstanding warrants and the circumstances under which traffic fines are issued.
