Plans to reintegrate the Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF) into the Ministry of Education remain on track, despite President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah’s recent announcement that tertiary education will be fully subsidised from 2026.

For years, NSFAF has provided financial support to underprivileged students pursuing higher education.

But as Namibia moves toward a fully funded tertiary education system, questions are being raised about the fate of former students who still owe money to the fund.
