MP calls for implementation of sign language motion

Independent Patriots for Change parliamentarian Lillian Lutuhezi says a 2023 motion calling for the official recognition of Namibian Sign Language and interpreters in parliament has yet to be implemented. Lutuhezi says the lack of interpretation continues to exclude deaf Namibians from parliamentary proceedings and access to essential public services.
