Hospitality association calls for tourism hub to help Windhoek retain visitors
July 22, 2026
The Hospitality Association of Namibia says Windhoek is missing opportunities to encourage tourists to spend more time in the capital. This comes after visitor feedback suggested the city lacks attractions and experiences that would encourage longer stays. Hospitality association chief executive Gitta Paetzold says the capital needs a dedicated tourism hub, improved coordination between stakeholders and greater investment in safety and visitor-friendly infrastructure to make Windhoek a more attractive destination.
