The City of Windhoek says it welcomes feedback from tourists who have described Namibia’s capital as “boring”, saying the comments provide an opportunity to improve the city’s tourism offering. Olehile Thataone says Windhoek offers visitors a unique mix of cultural heritage, history, museums and township experiences that many people overlook. He adds that the city is expanding tourism initiatives through festivals, public art programmes and township tourism, while a new tourism website and mobile app will soon be launched to help visitors discover attractions and events across the capital.
