Albert Nicanor discusses Nascam member payouts

The Namibian Society of Composers and Authors of Music (Nascam) has revealed the top royalty earners in its latest payout cycle, with the highest-paid local artist receiving N$32,951.60.
Other top payouts went to members who earned N$15,909.45, N$13,999.45, N$9,906.18, and N$8,959.45 respectively.
In total, N$917,347.95 was distributed among Namibian artists. Meanwhile, N$411,467.91 was paid to international rights organizations with which Nascam has reciprocal agreements, and N$591,144.08 to foreign societies without such agreements.
