Activist calls for merger of Ongwediva and Oshakati town councils

An activist has proposed merging the Ongwediva and Oshakati town councils into a single municipality, arguing it would improve service delivery, reduce administrative costs and strengthen economic development. Tangi Mike says the proposal is based on the towns’ close geographical and economic ties, but stressed that any decision should only be made after broad public consultation involving residents, businesses and traditional leaders.
