A young Namibian social justice activist has gained international recognition for her work in community development.

Namibia’s Leena Amwaalwa has been named among the Queen Elizabeth II Commonwealth Trust’s 100 young leaders for 2026, recognising her impactful work in youth empowerment and social justice. Amwaalwa says the honour affirms that “the little acts of kindness have a way of impacting the world at a global stage”.
