Green hydrogen summit concludes

President Nangolo Mbumba returned to the country on Thursday after attending the World Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
The landmark event was held under the theme ‘Green Hydrogen: Cleaner and Zero Emission Fuel for a Sustainable Green Economy’.
Mbumba was a keynote speaker at the summit, where he highlighted Namibia’s participation in the World Hydrogen Summit.
He was accompanied, among others, by Lüderitz mayor, Phil Balhao, who was also a speaker at the event.
Balhao says his experience at the summit has been very educational.
“I was really surprised to see how large the industry already is, and just how much research and development has already happened in such a short time,” he says.
Namibia is set to host the Africa Global Green Hydrogen summit in September.
