The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) is mourning the death of veteran cameraman Lamech Mwanyangapo, who died on Saturday.
Mwanyangapo served the national broadcaster for more than 30 years.
NBC chief commercial officer Nico Mwiya says Mwanyangapo leaves behind a significant legacy of dedication, professionalism and compassion. Mwiya says the veteran cameraman remained committed to his work and clients even while battling cancer, while also using his experience to support and encourage other cancer patients within and beyond the NBC.
Mwanyangapo, affectionately known by colleagues as D’Telannick, later transitioned from his role as a senior camera operator to an account management position, where he also contributed to the corporation’s revenue generation efforts.
