Capricorn Eagles take positives despite Uganda final defeat – Lotter

The Capricorn Eagles women’s cricket team has returned from Uganda with plenty to celebrate despite losing the Women’s T20 Quadrangular Series final by 17 runs to the hosts. Namibia won six of their seven matches, with Sune Wittmann finishing as the tournament’s leading batter, while Mekelanye Mwatile claimed both the player of the tournament and bowler of the series awards. Head coach Gerhard Lotter says the Eagles made significant progress throughout the tournament, particularly in strengthening their batting depth and giving younger players valuable exposure. He says the team will use the lessons from the final as motivation going forward.
