Nama Cultural Festival to focus on identity, unity and heritage preservation

Nama Cultural Festival organising committee chairperson Dirk Eigub says this year’s festival in Keetmanshoop will focus on restoring Nama identity, preserving the Khoekhoegowab language and promoting unity within Nama communities. Eigub says the event, taking place from 28 to 31 May, will also create space for indigenous knowledge-sharing, cultural exhibitions and economic opportunities for local artisans.
