Namibia nears exit from FATF greylist as final assessment looms

Namibia is edging closer to removal from the Financial Action Task Force greylist after the global watchdog found the country has largely completed its action plan to address anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing weaknesses. A final on-site assessment is expected before a June decision.

Speaking on Desert FM, Financial Intelligence Centre director Bryan Eiseb says the key question now is whether recent reforms are fully embedded in practice, not only written into policy.
