Windhoek council allocates N$3 million for pilot solar project

The Windhoek Municipal Council has set aside N$3 million for a pilot solar installation on select municipal buildings, aiming to reduce energy costs and support climate change mitigation.
Speaking to Desert FM, City of Windhoek spokesperson Lydia Amutenya addressed councillors’ concerns about infrastructure suitability and what the project means for residents.
