New book sparks debate on Namibia’s constitutional promise

Executive director of justice and labour relations Audrin Mathe this week launched his book ‘The Art of Persuasion: The Making of Namibia’s Constitution’ in Windhoek, with former Namibian president Nangolo Mbumba and former Botswana president Mokgweetsi Masisi in attendance.

Speaking to Desert FM, Mathe said the Constitution is more than a legal document, but a covenant to live and prosper together, even as many Namibians question whether it has truly delivered justice, equality and opportunity 35 years after independence.
