Northern farmers turn to meat processing to boost profits

In northern Namibia, many livestock farmers still rely on selling live animals,often for traditional purposes or at prices that barely cover their costs. Although livestock farming remains central to rural livelihoods, issues such as limited processing knowledge, post-harvest losses and market barriers created by the veterinary cordon fence continue to limit profitability.
