Countries continue to recognise Palestinian state

A total of 157 United Nations members have formally recognised a Palestinian state. The move follows intensifying global concern over Israel’s war in Gaza, settlement expansion, and the ongoing humanitarian crisis. Many see the recognition as a watershed.
