We turn our focus to Okahandja, where the newly appointed station commander, Chief Inspector Mathias Tjarimba, is urging community members to voluntarily surrender any unlicensed firearms before the current amnesty period ends on the 30th of September. He’s assured the public that during this period, no one will face arrest for handing in their weapons. But what happens after the deadline passes, and why is this initiative so important for the safety of the community?
