AS the world puts the spotlight onissues surrounding suicide, presidentNetumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah revealed that 542 Namibians took their lives between 2023 and 2024, placing the country at the top of Africa’s suicide statistics. She described this as a national crisis,calling for urgent action.The Khomas Suicide Prevention Taskforce says immediate investigation into the causes is needed, as well as efforts to curb the scourge.
