• What is your role at Desert FM? I am a news producer. The most enjoyable part of working at Desert FM is definitely ensuring one sounds right on air, and creating content. Our listeners are our biggest priority, and we love giving accurate information and informative interviews. I enjoy creating content, editing videos and planning shoots.

• Tell us about your interests outside of work. A hobby of mine many don’t know is that I’m a singer. I love to sing. I’d also venture into law if I weren’t on air. I’m a good listener in a non-judgemental way.

• What music do you listen to? I’m a Drake fan a – bit of pop with a mixture of deep house. I can’t just have one artist right now, so let’s make it Drake and Heavy K – a mix of two genres. The best concert I have, however, been to was the Burna Boy concert in 2022.

• What impact do you think Desert FM has? Desert FM is unique because of its quality sound and news that is always on time. The station has an impact, not only on the youth, but also regarding current affairs and ensuring that the nation is informed accurately and in good time.

• Tell us about your career and personal journey. I joined radio about a year ago when I started enjoying how fast and short and to the point it is. Writing news is not that difficult and I find it rather fun. Adapting to being fast and meeting deadlines is something I took a bit of time to master, but it’s so easy for me now. To do something properly you need to be passionate and focused. I’m looking forward to doing more outside broadcasts as I enjoy creating content. As for projects, there’s the social club we recently came up with. This club is going to keep the hype in the team, which is so important in work environments. I am not much of a writer, although I am a good one.

• What do you do after hours? My favourite spot is The Village Garden, a beautiful restaurant in Eros. Come to town and we will definitely go for some go-karting. It’s quite fun and exciting.

• Coffee or tea? Tea.

• Early bird or night owl? Early bird.

• The book or the movie? Movie.

• What’s your go-to karaoke song? Gazza ‘Chelete’.

• If you could have dinner with any celebrity, who would it be? Rihanna.

• What’s your guilty pleasure song or movie? ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’
