In a decisive move, President Netumbo Nandi‑Ndaitwah issued a circular mandating that all invitations to regional governors must now be routed through the Office of the President.

This follows concerns that some governors were using such invitations for personal gain. As the 8th Administration takes shape, with a leaner cabinet, merged ministries, and a renewed emphasis on service delivery, the President has signaled that no luxury or political self‑interest will be tolerated from her regional appointees.
