Hofni Iipinge speaks on his immediate priorities and long-term vision as Oshana Governor

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah officially appointed new governors for seven regions in Namibia, marking her first reshuffle of regional leadership. Among those appointed is Hofni Iipinge, who now takes the reins in the Oshana Region, one of the country’s most strategically placed regions but also one that faces growing socioeconomic pressure, particularly around youth unemployment, climate challenges, and food insecurity.

We spoke to Governor Iipinge about his immediate priorities, long-term vision and how he plans to implement the new administration’s directive to deliver tangible results.
