The University of Namibia (Unam) has come under fire for relocating students during their examination period to accommodate renovations ahead of the upcoming Region 5 Youth Games.
Although the relocation process was successfully carried out, the Namibia National Students Organisation (Nanso) has voiced serious concerns about the timing and potential impact on students.
Student representatives have criticised the university, accusing it of placing sporting preparations above students’ academic priorities.
To unpack the issue and provide further insight, we were joined by the Students Union of Namibia (SUN) founder, Bernard Kavau.
