In April, President Nandi‑Ndaitwah announced that Namibia will offer 100% free tertiary education from 2026. This morning, Executive Director in the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts, and Culture Mbuma Haitengela officially launched a national task force to develop a roadmap, with a Cabinet-ready plan due in August. We were joined by Haitengela to unpack this.
