Johan Coetzee unpacks the call by PDM leader demanding CVs and election plans of candidates

June 25, 2025

[PODCAST]

Namibia’s political parties are in campaign mode ahead of the highly anticipated November regional and local authority elections. In a bold move to sharpen its local structures, the Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) is now demanding CVs and election plans from all its aspiring candidates—marking a significant shift in internal candidate vetting.

To unpack this and broader election preparedness across the board, we were joined by political analyst Johan Coetzee, who tracks electoral integrity, governance culture, and party systems in Namibia.
