Manuel Ngaringombe assess PDM’s readiness for by elections

With by-elections scheduled in five constituencies across Namibia, including the crucial Otjiwarongo constituency, political parties are in full swing preparing for what many see as a litmus test ahead of the 2025 Regional Council and Local Authority elections. The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM), having suffered significant losses in the 2024 general elections, now faces the challenge of regaining trust and support on the ground.

We spoke to the party’s Secretary General, Manuel Ngaringombe, to assess PDM’s readiness, their campaign strategies, and how they intend to reconnect with the electorate in Otjiwarongo and beyond.
