Local vendor speaks on the implications of raw sewage floods around the town on businesses

A major sewerage pump failure at Station 7 in Katima Mulilo caused raw sewage to flood parts of the town, threatening the health, safety, and livelihoods of residents and traders alike.

The town council is warning of possible business closures and even evacuations if this isn’t fixed soon. But for local vendors trying to earn a living, the crisis is already here. The stench, the risk of disease, and the loss of customers have pushed many to the brink.
