Okahandja mayor Beatrice Kotungondo unpacks curfews to implemented in the town

A powerful demonstration unfolded in Okahandja today, as learners from local schools gathered at the bridge where five-year-old Ingrid Maasdorp’s body was found, demanding justice and stronger measures to protect children.

They were joined by teachers, residents, and community leaders, marching together in a unified outcry against violence affecting the nation’s youth.

At the same time the mayor of Okahandja, Beatrix Kotungondo, says that a curfew called for recently does not have the support of a bylaw in place.
