Coming up this hour, we turn our attention to an exciting and ambitious Pan-African initiative. As Africa looks to unlock the promise of the $3.3 trillion African Continental Free Trade Area, a bold campaign is pushing for something many believe is long overdue visa-free travel across the continent. Leading this movement is Ras Mubarak, a former Ghanaian lawmaker, journalist, and lifelong advocate for African unity. He is currently spearheading the Trans-African Tourism and Unity Campaign, a 163-day journey across 39 African countries to rally governments and civil society around the vision of a borderless Africa. And today, he joins us to unpack the urgency and vision behind this campaign.
