Works ministry issues final eviction warning for illegal Govt flats occupants

The Ministry of Works and Transport has issued a final call for illegal occupants of government houses and flats to vacate by 1 April or face penalties of up to N$10 500 per month plus 20% interest. Minister Veikko Nekundi confirmed the directive while speaking on Desert FM.
The move comes amid long-standing concerns over poor record-keeping, unpaid rent, and state properties being occupied without formal agreements, issues previously flagged by the auditor general.
