Windhoek Council Accused of Failure Amid Political Infighting

The capital’s leadership is under fire. Urban and Rural Development Minister James Sankwasa has accused City of Windhoek councilors of failing residents, saying that if they had only a year left in office, he would have dismissed them for poor performance, just as he did with the Katima Mulilo Town Council. He described the city as “rudderless”, plagued by political infighting and a lack of direction.
