Right now, 169 stillborn babies remain unclaimed at state mortuaries in Windhoek and Oshakati. These are not just statistics — they are a reflection of families who are either unable to bury their children due to financial hardship or are caught in a web of red tape that delays or blocks burial in line with cultural traditions.
