Vanessa Maresch discusses Namibia joining countries featured on Google Street View

Namibia has officially joined the growing list of countries featured on Google Street View, a powerful platform that offers 360-degree panoramic images of cities, towns, roads and landmarks through Google Maps. With over 21,000 kilometres of Namibian roads now mapped, Street View will allow users to virtually navigate the country from the Christuskirche in Windhoek to the coastline near Lüderitz, all from the comfort of their screen.
To help us understand the technological, economic, and social implications of this rollout for Namibia, we were joined by IT expert Vanessa Maresch, who has been following developments in digital infrastructure and geo-mapping platforms across Africa.
