The University of Namibia (Unam) has come under fire for relocating students during their examination period to accommodate renovations ahead of the upcoming Region 5 Youth Games.
While the relocation process has been completed successfully, the Namibia National Students Organisation (Nanso) has raised concerns about the timing and impact of the move. Nanso deputy secretary Donna Gamatham yesterday criticised the university, accusing it of prioritising sport over students’ academic wellbeing.
