Today we’re asking: why are vulnerable families in Otjiwarongo still waiting for drought relief food? Despite a worsening crisis, reports have emerged that essential food supplies are sitting in storage – and in some cases – not reaching everyone equally.
Even more alarming, there are allegations that distribution has been tainted by favouritism, political discrimination, or tribal bias.
Sebeteus Kuiteb, councillor in the Otjiwarongo Municipality, joined us to respond to the growing frustration and to account for what is – or isn’t – happening on the ground.
