Rose Kameya: The National African Students Association’s second national congress

The National African Students Association (NASA) is holding its 2nd national congress in Swakopmund.

The event has drawn key figures, including Swakopmund mayor Blasius Goraseb, while Swapo member of parliament Willem Amutenya delivered the keynote address. This year’s congress takes place at a significant moment—following the 8th administration’s announcement that education will be free from next year. Additionally, a dedicated fund will be established to support the accommodation and educational needs of learners from underprivileged backgrounds.
Delegates at the congress are focusing on strategies to build a strong grassroots student movement across the country.
