Parliament walkout reignites decorum concerns

The National Assembly made headlines after Speaker Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila abruptly adjourned the house and walked out following a heated clash between Swapo members of parliament and the opposition over a motion vote. Members were seen shouting over each other before and after the incident.
It has since spotlighted parliament’s decorum and respect for procedure.
