Namibia confirms Crimean-Congo fever outbreak

The Ministry of Health and social services has confirmed an outbreak of Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever in Namibia after a patient in Windhoek died and later tested positive for the virus. The announcement has sparked concern, particularly among farmers, abattoir employees, and communities living in tick-prone areas, as there is currently no vaccine or specific treatment available.
