Mukwe Constituency Councillor clears the air on upset residents

We turn to Divundu, in the Kavango East region, where tensions are mounting. Members of the local community have taken to the streets, demanding the removal of the Divundu Village Council’s chief executive, Maghumbo Ndjamba, amid serious allegations of land being sold without consultation or compensation — some dating as far back as 2016.
Community members are calling for total compensation for land losses and have also expressed disappointment in their Mukwe Constituency Councillor, Damian Maghambayi, accusing him of failing to represent their interests and allegedly attempting to undermine the current demonstration.
