Mbuyiseni Ndlozi’s Exit from EFF: A Sign of Deeper Divisions in Left-Wing Politics?
Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, former MP, officially parted ways with the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and withdrew from party politics altogether, following a period of escalating tensions with EFF leader Julius Malema—marking the end of what was once a formidable political alliance.
Ndlozi’s exit had long been anticipated, as his relationship with Malema had deteriorated, particularly after he failed to disclose the defection of former EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu to the uMkhonto Wesizwe party.
This raised a critical question: Could emerging left-wing neo-revolutionary parties in the region remain viable when they struggled to sustain internal stability and unity?
