Maureen Kasume unpacks the new minimum wage and discusses industry fairness

A landmark Collective Agreement has been presented for Namibia’s Security Industry by NSLF, Security Association, and NATAWU, setting a new minimum wage and aiming for industry fairness.
They’ve urged the Central Procurement Board and other authorities to reject tenders from companies violating this new wage order, calling “poverty wages” for government contracts “unethical, illegal, and disgraceful.” Immediate enforcement is demanded.
