As we continue with the Midday Report this hour, we shift our focus to water safety, especially during the festive season a time when beaches, rivers and swimming spots are busier than ever. Every year, the festive period unfortunately sees a spike in drowning incidents, raising serious concerns about public awareness, safety measures and emergency response.
