The community of Divundu in the Kavango East region is raising its voice. Residents are demanding the removal of the village council’s chief executive, Maghumbo Ndjamba, over allegations of land being sold without community consent or compensation. Some claim to have lost land worth thousands, while others say they were never even consulted. A demonstration is set to take place, and with me to speak more on the issue is Marando Freddy, a spokesperson for the community.
