Legal Battle Over Lungu’s Burial Returns to Court

We now turn our attention to Zambia where the legal and political drama over the repatriation of former president Edgar Lungu’s remains has returned to the High Court in Pretoria.
The Zambian government is now seeking a court order to return Lungu’s body home for a state funeral at Embassy Park in Lusaka. However, the issue remains tangled in legal proceedings, following a previous agreement to delay the burial until a final ruling could be made.
