Josua Amukwaya pushes for safer public transport for all

At UNAM recent spring graduation, 523 students received their degrees including Josua Amukwaya a visually impaired Master’s graduate in Adult Education.
Josua’s research focuses on making Windhoek’s public transport safer and more accessible for persons with disabilities. His study development of guidelines on accessibility and safety education for persons with disabilities in the public transport of the city of Windhoek is a clear call for inclusive mobility in Namibia.
Jane Kandetu spoke to Amukwaya on Desert FM about his journey and the changes needed to make transport systems work for everyone.
