How ready are students for this year’s election

The basic education ministry has cut the academic calendar short in order to accommodate the 2024 presidential and national assembly elections next week Tuesday. Equally, higher education institutions have scheduled exams to finish by this Friday latest to allow academics as well as student voters the opportunity to exercise their rights. A total of 609 596 youth are registered to vote in the country’s presidential and National Assembly elections scheduled to take place next month. But just how ready are students for this year’s elections? What is the conversation like on Namibian campuses?
